Sony DCR-SR85

We use this particular model of video camera for our unilluminated paranormal investigations.  With the attached Video IR Light, high quality video can be captured at over 50 feet in total darkness.  This camera can record directly to it's internal hard drive or to SD card, eliminating contamination and quality issues found in old magnetic tape devices.

Panasonic VDR-M53PP

This video camera is typically used by Scientific Paradigm to capture video in portions of investigations which occur in relatively well-lit areas.  The great advantage of this particular model is it's ability to record directly to DVD which is a media very resistant to corruption or contamination.

Mel 8704 EMF Detector/Thermometer

EMF detectors seem to be standard issue in the paranormal investigator's toolkit.  While we have only occasionally witnessed increased EMF readings during heightened paranormal activity, we consider these devices great for diagnostic and experimental purposes. Although this model only detects EMF in the 30Hz to 300Hz range and is limited by it's single axis (only detects EMF at which it is directly pointed), we find this particular EMF detector quite versatile and consider it indespensible.  It records high/low readings captured, has a very responsive and accurate thermometer, and it's backlit display comes in handy on nearly every investigation we undertake.

RadioShack Digital Multimeter

A changing electric field generates a magnetic field proportional to the rate of change in the electric field.  Thank you, James Clerk Maxwell.  We use this particularly sensitive multimeter to monitor changes in ambient electrical charge in conjunction with our EMF detectors to provide a more in-depth data set for analysis.

Olympus DS-40 Voice Recorder

This particular digital voice recorder is notable for it's widely spaced pick-ups, high storage capacity, and extreme sensitivity.

Kodak M1033 Digital Camera

Not the best or shiniest model on the market, but the 10MP images and massive storage capacity more than suffice for capturing digital stills photos during the course of our investigations.

TriField Natural EM Meter

This model of EMF detector features a vast EM band coverage (0.5 Hz - 2.5 GHz), covering even radio and microwave portions of the EM spectrum.  It's audible tone also comes in handy and is extraordinarily useful in our investigations.
