Russell Gulch Cemetery, Colorado - Investigation 1 - 8/1/2009

Audio

Nearly three hours of audio were recorded on this investigation. Despite contamination issues with this investigation from the party located approximately one mile to the east, upon careful review we have found a single class A EVP of a very young girl responding to a comment made by an investigator. The comment which was made by the investigator is, "Oops, standin' on people again." The apparent reply from the very little girl's voice is, "You shouldn't stand on people...uh uh.". We have posted the audio below.

Enhanced Clip

Photographic

One hundred and twelve photographs were captured during the course of this investigation. A number of these images show orbs, however as they are not particularly noteworthy and do not coincide with any other readings or witnessed phenomena, we do not consider them evidential.

Video

Two hours of video were recorded. Within this video there are two occasions where self-illuminating light phenomena are viewed. However, given the issues on this investigation with external noise and cars along the nearby road, we do not consider these evidential.

Other Findings & Raw Data

Temperature readings ranged from a high reading of 57.6 degrees to a low temperature of 48.0 degrees. Temperature changes were steady and gradual as the night wore on. Although one large fluctuation in the local EMF (12.7mG) was recorded, we consider it likely that this was a false positive reading and occurred when the meter was being moved.

Investigation Notes

This was our initial full investigation of this location.  On our preliminary visit on the morning of July 25th, 2009, Kimberly experienced the sensation of the back of her head being touched through her hair clip while she was taking notes. Investigation began at approximately 9:30pm and the temperature was 57.5 degrees.  The moon was in the waxing gibbous phase on this night and provided a great deal of illumination. The evidence capture began in the remains of the chapel building at the rear of the cemetery. Three hours of audio and two hours of video were captured in various parts of the cemetery. Audio recordings were not perfect as music from a local party is evident in the first 2 hours of recording. Video results were very slightly anomalous, but phenomena were not distinct enough for us to consider them evidential.

Our observations about this location, very similar to Bald Mountain Cemetery, were that wind, weather and local residences posed difficulties from an investigative standpoint.  However, we concluded that these obstacles were not insurmountable and we are planning a series of upcoming investigations.  Hopefully next time, we won't be investigating to an Alice In Chains soundtrack....
