Bald Mountain Cemetery, Colorado - Investigation 1 - 5/31/2009

Audio

This audio was captured within the cemetery during our silent baseline tests of our initial investigation of this site.  Clayton was holding the voice recorder as he walked throughout the cemetery.  This is a substantial piece of  EVP evidence, as not only is there a definite pitch, timbre and accent to the voice, but we believe that the speaker uses Clayton's name.  This is also a very long EVP (15+ syllables) and seems to have a specific locus as the voice moves from right to left as Clayton turns a corner. After much discussion, we believe the voice says, "Clayton, Clayton, stay alive (save your life?)..." followed by several undecipherable syllables.

Photographic

There were no photographs captured which were notable.

Video

There was no video evidence captured that reflected any unusual phenomena.

Other Findings & Raw Data

At one point, our multimeter malfunctioned inexplicably.  Upon reset, we were picking up very high mV readings in excess of 425 mV. These readings seemed isolated in one particular location approximately 25 yards inside the main entrance.

Investigation Notes

This was our initial investigation of this location.  Investigation began at approximately 5:30am and the temperature was 48 degrees.  Wind was out of the east at approximately 5mph during the course of the investigation and is evident throughout the captured audio. We conducted a complete walkthrough of this location in relative silence taking readings with our multimeter, photographs, video and audio. We ended our baseline tests and began reading names and dates from a number of tombstones and generally familiarizing ourselves with this beautiful and isolated location.

Our observations about this location were that wind, weather and wildlife posed difficulties from an investigative standpoint.  However, we concluded that these obstacles were not insurmountable and scheduled a series of further investigations.
